Many tourists come to the Italian Riviera to hike the world-famous Cinque Terre Trail. The trail starts in the town of Monterosso al Mare at the western end of the Cinque Terre National Park and passes through four towns: Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore.
Most visitors can complete the entire hike in two one or two days. The section of the trail between Monterosso and Vernazza is the most challenging while the portion between Corniglia and Riomaggiore is relatively flat easier to hike.
